Data is power, and now that we’re a few months out from the onset of the pandemic, two Canadian industry-related surveys have been released that may offer insights for future planning, as well as giving a sense of the current situation.

Some highlights from SAP Concur’s survey of business travellers:

  • More than 9 in 10 Canadian business travellers (92%) believe they’d benefit from company training, especially, trainings on how to protect their health and safety during travel (50%) and how to maintain healthy habits while travelling (50%).

And from Promotional Product Professionals of Canada:

  • Over 50% of PPPC members have seen a 40% or more decline in sales from January to May 2020, compared to January to May 2019.
  • 45% have had 30% or more of their sales come from PPE and hand sanitizer in the past three month.
  • Over 75% say that the interest in purchasing made in Canada products have either stayed the same or increased.
